Lebanon is one of the countries that, in addition to its natural beauty, is characterized by its deep history, which stems from the Phoenician civilization, and its culture, which is unlike any other region in the Middle East. In recent years, the name of Lebanon, and specifically Beirut, has been in the spotlight, for the various difficulties stemming from its political system, most recently, the unfortunate accident of the explosion in the port of Beirut, which caused great damage to the city. Two years later, although the country’s population is suffering from a huge economic crisis, the country has returned to its old rhythms, which makes it an ideal destination for a few days’ escape from the trivial.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Participants should have proof of full COVID-19 vaccination to avoid the 72-hour quarantine upon entry into the country.

For this trip, the minimum number of participants is 10 people.

In order to issue the visa, your passport must be valid for six months from the date of your entry into the country.

Your passport must NOT have an Israeli stamp.

The schedule may not be followed in the order listed if the need arises for reasons of force majeure.

For your participation to be valid, you must have read, understood, and agreed to the Terms and Conditions, which will be sent to you with the expression of interest for the trip.

The Itinerary

Day 1:

We will arrive at Beirut International Airport late in the evening and we will go on a sightseeing tour. We will see these and many more on our tour of the centre of Beirut. In the afternoon we will have free time to explore the most commercial district of the city, Hamra, where our hotel will be located.

Day 2:

Today we will start our journey to the north of Lebanon, and the historic Tripoliand visit its castle. We will visit the Ottoman hammam with its characteristic domes from the Mamluk and Ottoman periods. Lastly, we will receive a tour of the old market of the city.

Overnight at Beirut.

Day 3:

Our day will start with a drive outside of Beirut, where it will take us to Harissa,an oversized statue of the Virgin Mary, which is a holy pilgrimage for Lebanese Christians.

Day 4:

We will have free time to get to know many hidden corners of Beirut, to enjoyour walks, and to do our shopping, which of course could not miss its famous sweets.

Day 5:

In the early hours of the morning, we will be transferred to Beirut airport, to depart for Athens.
